What People have said aboutĀ the class.
This is a mix of feed back from our group sessions at Gracefield gds.
- I found the sleep course really relaxing. Itās so lovely to have an opportunity to rest and relax. Fingers crossed it helps the sleep! Please put my name down for next Monday.
Ā
- I thought it was a valuable session. Something I took from the session was being mindful. That itās okay to observe and notice noises around us such as the clock ticking, people arguing etc but to let it pass and not emotionally engage with it. This was useful to me. Looking forward to next weekās session.
Ā
- So many positive emotions, I use mindfulness techniques every day, especially when I go to the park, I sit on a bench and listen to 20-minute sessions on YouTube, then I close my eyes, listen and follow what the therapist says. I'm very glad that I could experience it today in a larger group and not alone, which was amazing for me.
Ā
- A safe space was created to achieve deep relaxation. Curiosity, excitement, and peace was felt. I particularly enjoyed the visualisation aspect of it and the detailed body scan.
Ā - Thank you for the invite to the session today. It really was informative and I have felt a sense of calm and relaxation since leaving today.Ā Unfortunately I am still working until 9pm and struggling to stay awake šbut at least it proves what I learned today was effectiveĀ Ā
Ā - thank you for organising the course which I'm sure will be helpful to me. I want to continue attending.
Iāve suffered from poor sleep for a number of years, and have recently gone through a really debilitating patch of insomnia, which has lasted for 6 weeks. This has had a terrible impact on my day-to-day life, making work, looking after my children and carrying out daily tasks really difficult.
Ā
Lisaās class came at just the right time for me. Her relaxation techniques helped to get me through some of the most difficult nights and Iāve learnt some valuable breathing and meditation skills. It has been wonderful to have an opportunity to attend the class - to fully rest, recover and be present, an experience which leads to better sleep that night and beyond.

I have also benefited from meeting other people in a similar boat and to hear about some of the ways in which they deal with sleepless nights. It is reassuring to know that Iām not alone and Iāve been able to share some of my own tips with the group too.
I find the sleep classes restful, relaxing and therapeutic and am grateful to all who have made them happen, not least Lisa.

I would say I am somebody who has had a history of poor sleep spanning most of my adult life. Easily at least 25-30yrs. Itās something that gradually worsened , until I realised I had to do something about it.Ā
I was sent on a sleep study and done a 6 sessionĀ course at Guys hospital in 2019. Unfortunately this did little to help my situation as I was informed that being a shift worker I was already at a disadvantage to the rest of the participants, as it would be harder to remedyĀ
When I received the invitation to Lisaās class I knew I absolutely had to attend. My sleep this year has without a doubt been the worst it has been in my life. Averaging 3 - 4.5 hours a night. I knew something had to be doneĀ
I didnāt know what to expect from this course. I had no idea part of the principle was practical as in being able to sleep in the session. The breathing exercises , listening to Lisaās soothe tones naming objects and visualising them , being present in the moment , finding calmness in creating energy by rubbing your palms and feeling the warmth , etc has all assisted me in a way that nothing else has. I had all but given up trying to correct my sleep issues when this course came along
I am now for the first time in what feels like forever practicing a regular bedtime routine. There will be days of course when this is not possible. But for the most part I am trying to go to bed at the same time every night and actually look forward to going to bed. Like a normal average human being ..
This course in my opinion has changed my life. I am so excited to keep practicing these techniques going forward and to see how much progress I can continue to make.Ā
