How to Wake Up.

Meet my client Paulus, I turned up to teach him and he was very excited to share with me how this new book has changed how he wakes up. I asked if I could record him repeating his enthusiasm as its always better to hear a recommendation first hand. As a teacher I always think that we work better together and we all have different ways of speaking and listening.

Sometimes the words simply get through at a time when we are alert to hearing them.

I am always going on about the power of Morning Pages and how this practice can help us with feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. Enabling us to start our day with a clear head. However writing is not everyones idea of ease and therefore reading something other than whats on our phone can me equally as valuable to help us start the day happier.

Ultimately it is all down to intentions and purpose.  If our purpose is to be happy then we have to think about how to  set intentions for purposeful practice inorder to achieve the desired out come of being happy. Our first thoughts are vital to making positive and lasting change in our life.

In my sleep classes we work at creating a sleep intention. Defining what we want from sleep and phrasing this into an effective form of inner dialogue, words that help to remind us of the purpose of sleep. We then practice techniques to help us to sleep better and this extra process of starting our day with the benefits of a good nights sleep is another layer to the work.

It really is an on going cycle of intentional work with the purpose of maintaining our happiness.

Worth a try.
